WES For Youth Online is currently hiring for the position of Casual/Part Time Youth Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator

The Youth Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator position provides outreach to youth in the community, creates awareness of our program to become an identified resource to youth and their families, they will be working directly with our Youth Advisory Committee along with developing a volunteer recruitment and retention program.


• Provides outreach to youth and their families
• Build and retain a solid volunteer base
• Develop a volunteer package and data base
• Provide and assist with programming to our Youth Advisory Committee
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Be a team player
• Act as a liaison between the Youth Advisory Committee and inter-organization, community, social, educational and recreational agencies
• Flexibility is required, as hours of work may vary


• Must have a post secondary education in outreach, human resources or comparable 1-3 years related experience
• Recent Criminal Record check with Vulnerable sector check (done within the past 30 days)
• CPR / First Aid Certificate
• A demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective strategies and programs for Volunteer Recruitment and Retention
• The ability to build trusting, positive relationships with youth and volunteers
• The ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of the community, its resources, and agencies would be an asset

WES For Youth Online also provides on-going training opportunities to its staff in an effort to ensure all staff members are provided opportunities to develop their skills and learn new ways to provide effective services to youth and volunteers.
